The most important meal of the day, ‘they’ say is breakfast. In truth, most times we rush through it, skip it or rush through it at the coffee shop / food court / lounge at work. On weekdays it is so difficult to have a nice leisurely breakfast with your family. On weekends, most good foodie breakfast places are too crowded.
So, breakfast in reality is a lousy meal unless you have a nice leisurely breakfast with important people!
The last 2 days have been good days for breakfast at home with Daryl. Managed to have 2 very nice breakfasts in a row. Daryl is pretty much enjoying it because her breakfast consists of memorizing for her IB exam (she is in the midst of it), the weather is surprising very cool and Chiao Lin is hanging about already back from exercise at the Ritual gymn. I’m not sure what Spring is up to though.
So really, I’ve enjoyed my breakfast the last 2 mornings. Espresso coffee from my Jura machine (only recently have I gotten my taste buds back to enjoy good coffee, Old Chang Kee Curry Puff and a cup of Orangina. Daryl only ate Famous Amos cookies. Chiao Lin’s combo was the best – she pinched from both of us.
Today, unfortunately, in the midst of things, my neighbour of many years comes over to ask me for help / advice as her daughter (40+ years) has sufferred a sudden stroke a week ago. Initially doing alright but now worsening rapidly due to unforseen but known complications. It was a ‘complex case’ and I had to explain to him what options they could take and what would be the possible outcomes.
So, back to breakfast and my meditaion and study over my thoughts for today. For once now I quote from the King James Version:
Isa 26:3-Isa 26:4 KJV Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
So may you / keep in perfect peace, by Trusting Him. Difficult as it may be…..Trust.
