Victorious and grounded in Scripture. About God’s Everlasting Love. I learned this song in my early teens, sang it for my daughter a few years back when she was down…

God’s wrath

In this morning’s bible reading, I read 1 Chronicles 13, in which God strikes down Uzzah in anger (he dies) for touching the ark of God. Uzzah tries to steady the ark during transport when an ox stumbles. Frightening.

These are the issues in the Old testament that are difficult to comprehend. How can a compassionate God and a loving God do such a thing? Continue reading

What I need

I have been thinking about my friends, my family and my children. I think about them all the time these days. Looking at how close we are, the most important thing that keeps us together is love.

” So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love” 1 Corinthians 13:13

Then when I examine my relationship with God and our Lord and Saviour….I discover one of the most important ingredient in a loving relatiohship we often neglect. Continue reading

The Right Race

It’s a gruelling race. One of my best friends just completed the Ironman 70.3. An amazing feat considering he suffered a massive heart attack 6 years ago. Praise God! The preparation that goes into it is crucial. Without proper training, he would never have done it.
